WHAT

This presentation cover the use of wiki technology in Knowledge Management. James Matheson and Andrew Mitchell will discuss how wikis are being used as knowledge management tools.

James will focus on the bigger picture, by giving an overview of what wikis arem what the current status of the technology is, how they are being used for knowledge management, how they are being adopted and what the barriers to adoption are.

Andrew will give a a 'show and tell' on how his Urbis K&IM team is using wiki technology. This will be practical and usage based showing how some pages develop over time and how this facilitates our work. For some use cases the value is much more about the process that the wiki facilitates rather than the resulting page of content. In other use cases its about the shared content.
